Identification - this small snail has a shell up to 2.7mm and up to 1.5mm wide. It is ball shaped with a very large last whorl. It has a massive out-turned lip. The shell spirals to the right. The shell is yellowish. (Cameron & Redfern 199?)
General ecology - this snail inhabits long established swamps, fens and marshes often bordering rivers and lakes. The snail climbs tall dead and living grass and sedge stems. It is sensitive to habitat disturbance, management and temperature change.
